"The Cleaner," "Lie to Me," and "Laurie Greenwood is awesome!"
September 2, 2009
Love this weather. Yesterday, the Mitsubishi said it was 33C. For our American visitors, that’s 91.4 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s about the same today. Not bad for a city this far north. My daughter ran through the sprinkler before supper. I sat on the back deck and smoked a cigar at 11PM. The air was silky smooth, and warm. Watched The Cleaner last night and Lie to Me on TV. The writing is better in The Cleaner but there’s something about Tim Roth’s portrayal of Dr. Cal Lightman that I simply cannot turn away from.
Listened to Laurie Greenwood’s review of Waiting for Columbus last night, on CBC, and literally had to pull over and blush. I’m beyond humbled. Laurie has been, and continues to be, an ardent supporter of writers and writing in this community. See: Laurie’s Book Company and the CBC review

I gotta say Trofimuk I am loving this book. The characters seem so damn real and it’s so damn easy to picture the fifteenth century and present day. I can see the charisma in this Columbus. A lover and a sword fighter.
You got me hooked man. And I’m the guy who thought “The Cellist of Sarajevo” was dull and manipulative!
