2008•06•24 ~ Bonnyville is excellent
My trip to Bonnyville with the Louster was well worth the 2.5-hour drive. Time was an issue on the trip up…kept doing that math calculation…you know the one…okay, if I have 163 kilometres left and I average 109 kilometres per hour, will I get there on time?!?! It was a bit stressful. We got a chance to see the country on the way home Saturday.
Friday night (click here for pictures) was a well organized group with good questions, and great discussions. Colleen, Ina, (and Suzanne who got the ball rolling because I sold her a copy of Doubting at a Chapters in Edmonton and promised her money back if she didn’t like it), you are fantastic women! Thank you, and thank you to the book club for having Cindy-Lou and I. It was fabulous to hang out with careful, enthusiastic readers.
You Bonnyvillians have a hell of a library, and a library staff that is second to none. Their programming is innovative and creative, and fun. Long live Bonnyville book club! I have no more book clubs to visit. I'm all out, and it's probably a good thing as I'm hard at the edits on Columbus. Bye for now.

You look only mildly inebriated in those photos, Thomas.
Glad to hear this went well. That kind of stuff must be pretty fun.

The wine and snacks were fabulous! They even served wine that was mentioned in the book — which was cool.

We really enjoyed our discussion with you and Cindy-Lou! So interesting to learn more about the book publishing process. Come back anytime :)
