Additional note: Sometime around when I wrote this entry, my garage was being ransacked by thieves, who took my chop saw (an antique, incredibly heavy saw) and the registration/insurance papers from the van, and my garage remote (I’ve since changed the code). Note to thieves: I hope you get a hernia from lugging that saw around…And, I’m sad for you that you had to resort to stealing in the middle of the night. I hope you’re okay but please don’t come back.

Sorry to hear that you got robbed, Thomas. Hopefully, they can’t do any sort of identity theft stuff with the papers they stole. That’s what I’d be most worried about in this situation. Keep an extra close eye on your finances for the next little while.
