My ARM!!!!

My daughter kills me! I’m putting her to bed and she asks me to take her socks off…I should have known something was fishy. She loves wearing socks to bed. So, her feet go up in the air and she’s giggling. Giggling even before I touch her feet. Hmmmm…So I grab the socks and we do a count down….5….4….3….2….1 Blast OFF!!! And off they come. In my hands are her socks and a note that was folded and tucked into one of her socks. “Daddy, I love YOU! M.” I’m keeping the note.

After pulling her on her new sled last night – to the park and up the hill and watching her go flying about 10 times, and then dragging her home, I can barely use my arm this morning!!!! What the hell?

I have a friend in the hospital right now. We’re worried about him! He’d hate it if I named him here, so I won’t. But, here’s a public wish for his speedy recovery so that he can be home soon. Om mani padme hum.

Just as the soft rains fill the streams,
pour into the rivers, and join together in the oceans,
so may the power of every moment of your goodness
flow forth to awaken and heal all beings--
those here now, those gone before, those yet to come.

By the power of every moment of your goodness,
may your heart's wishes be soon fulfilled
as completely shining as the bright full moon,
as magically as by a wish-fulfilling gem.

By the power of every moment of your goodness,
may all dangers be averted and all disease be gone.
May no obstacle come across your way.
May you enjoy fulfillment and long life.

For all in whose heart dwells respect,
who follow the wisdom and compassion, of the Way,
may your life prosper in the four blessings
of old age, beauty, happiness and strength.
