Oh, grow up!!! Look, I think coalitions can work. There are all sorts of examples across the planet. But this is not about confidence. This is more about being sore losers. The Prime Minister yanks the $1.95 per vote election subsidy (which was ill-timed and ultimately stupid, but also reversed) and the Liberals, NDs and Bloc suddenly lose confidence? Ridiculous. This is more about being sore losers. The liberals got beat up in the last federal election. They REALLY lost confidence in their leader. The NDs need to reinvent themselves, desperately. The Bloc never had, will never have, a chance of running Canada (except right now because they must have done a deal…). And don’t tell me that the Bloc is not part of this coalition. These guys are sore losers, that’s it. It’s like when my daughter cries when she loses a board game. We shut that sort of behaviour down. The Liberals, the NDs, and Bloc, should all be sent to their rooms for a time out. They need to wipe their pouty faces away. Guys, you lost. Run a better campaign next time. Have better ideas next time. In about two minutes, the Prime Minister for the moment will be coming out of Rideau Hall and we’ll know what’s going to happen.
Well, it's just in! The government is prorogued (cool word). The news is out. Now we'll see what kind of balls this pouty-faced coalition has. I am no great fan of the Harper government. I am no great fan of conservatism. I'm not happy about the Prime Minister's divisive comments around Quebec. While it makes common sense to be upset that the Bloc might have a profound say in the running of Canada, isn't that what happens to Quebec? Don't MPs from Alberta and Newfoundland and Ontario make decisions about what happens in Quebec?). I'm not happy about the Harper Government. I'd like him to be gone as Prime Minister. I want to be inspired by a Prime Minister. But I'm less of a fan of a bunch of sore losers who see a way to take power and grab at it.
