SEX in the CITY (the movie) is a great flick!

Sex in the City, the movie, was actually pretty good. Let me be perfectly clear: I’ve never watched ten minutes of Sex in the City, on TV. I landed at the movie, with the Louster (who was beyond herself with excitement) because Woody Allen’s new flick started too late. I got captured from the first scene and dragged to the end with tears in my eyes. What the hell kind of movies does this guy like? You might be wondering. I like the neurotic, there-is-no-God-or-gosh-maybe-there-is dramas…And I like movies where two guys sit around a dinner table and talk for two hours. And I really like westerns. I love Alfred Hitchcock. I like movies that surprise me – movies where I can’t guess the next scene, or the ending…And, I like intelligent action films too. What the hell is that? you’re wondering. Well, The Bourne Identity came close. The Matrix was close. These two were enough to keep my interest but Jesus there could have been so much more to chew on. I like Star Wars (woops, I already said I liked Westerns and Star Wars is just a future western). AND I liked Sex in the City; the movie, a lot. It had a happy ending. The boy got the girl, and the girl got the boy, and they were all friends. How can you not like that!
Oh, and here's the thing. Those women in that movie theatre watching Sex in the City with the Louster and I -- they're the same women who read novels. They're the same women who belong to book clubs...Let's call it the most enjoyable 2.5 hours of research I've done in ages.

I enjoyed the movie too. But I am a fan of the show. Ask C.L. to show you the one with the dildo model and you’ll laugh yourself silly….

Okay, I’m in. Dildo model, huh? I’m intrigued.
The movie was sort of soft porn, kitchen-sink, soap opera kitsch, and it all worked fabulously. I’ll get the Louster to hook me up with this episode.

I never really got into SATC but with this endorsement maybe I will check out the movie.
