who?

A raven flew over my head this weekend and the sound of her wings was a whispered question: “who, who, who, who, who, who, who, who.” I didn’t have an answer. I still don’t have an answer. I’m working on it. Last night I dreamed a landscape made up of the colours taupe, and pine-green and yellow-gold, and granite-grey. I don’t know what to do with these colours. They’re still there, hovering in the subconscious.

I like this aspen leaf picture because it breaks all the rules of photography. The rule of thirds is thrown out the window and yet, there is something about this leaf that I find appealing. I think an aspen leaf would make a really nice tattoo.

Ah, yes, the spring of ’54. Damn that was fun. Those nuns were fabulous…but I still say they weren’t really nuns. They were a little less than honest about their occupation. They had a calling, I just don’t think it was Jesus.
